I really like this little top. I”m kinda partial to butterfly’s and I think this is just a really fun little top. This is a free, vintage 80’s filet crochet pattern from “Magic Crochet”.
I have another similar filet crochet top with a Dutch boy and girl pattern on the front if you feel like you just can’t get enough of these sexy little camisole’s.
This pattern is a little different than most of my patterns to date as this relies heavily on charts. I think it’s cool because it reminds me of a counted cross stitch pattern. Anyway, this pattern is also listed as “easy to make” so I hope those of you that might be beginners jump right in and give it a try.
NOTE REGARDING SIZE: This pattern only gives the dimensions for size small. I am nowhere near a pro but I believe that this pattern can be adjusted by adding an even number of stitches to the chain.
SIZE: Small (fits 31 1/2″ bust). Body of camisole = 13 1/2″ high. Straps are about 1 1/2″ wide and 12 1/4″ long.
MATERIALS: White crochet cotton No. 10, about 690 yrds in 6 cord or 550 yrds in 3 cord quality. Steel crochet hook US size 7. Sewing needle.
GAUGE: 4″ sq=17 meshes and 19 rows.
NOTE: Based on the information in the materials list above, I don’t really understand the following but please note: For camisole to fit 32 1/2″ bust, we recommend using crochet cotton No. 5 and steel crochet hook US size 5.
